Community of Practice

Check back for the community of practice (CoP) to expand access to safe abortion in Sub-Saharan Africa. This CoP will be a place for members to share, debate and discuss knowledge, evidence and experiences. This CoP will link users with capacity strengthening support services, such as training, technical assistance, coaching and evaluation support

IBP Network Community Engagement Platform

Hosted at the World Health Organization HQ, IBP Network is a global partnership convening partners to share effective and evidence-based practices, guidelines and tools in family planning and sexual and reproductive health, by leveraging our convening power, diverse membership and neutral platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Through the IBP Community Engagement Platform, IBP provides a one-stop shop for the latest news, events and discussions in the space of FP/SRH and allows you to connect with thousands of other members around the globe. The platform also provides a space for a variety of Communities of Practice (CoPs) on technical topics related to FP/SRH, including maternal and newborn health.

To join, fill in your request via www.ibpnetwork.org. Once a member of the platform, you may request to join any CoP of your interest. To express interest in creating a CoP on the IBP Network platform, email ibpnetwork@who.int.

Interagency Gender Working Group

The Interagency Gender Working Group (IGWG) promotes gender equity within global health programs with the goal of improving FP/RH, HIV/AIDS, maternal, child health and nutrition outcomes, and fostering sustainable development.    To join, visit the IGWG website.

Inter-Agency Working Group on Reproductive Health in Crises

The Inter-Agency Working Group (IAWG) on Reproductive Health in Crises is a coalition of diverse members, including organizations and individuals working collaboratively to strengthen and expand access to quality sexual and reproductive health services for people affected by crises.To join, visit the IAWG website.

Postpartum Hemorrhage CoP

Under the leadership of local experts, the Postpartum Hemorrhage Community of Practice (PPH CoP) works with country partners to align the maternal, newborn, and child health community on the latest PPH strategies, mobilize support to spark action and accelerate progress toward targets and key health system priorities. The PPH CoP supports Ministries of Health to drive system changes for sustainable implementation of best practices for postpartum hemorrhage.

FP/RH Scale-up Community of Practice

Systematic Approaches for Scale-up of Family Planning/Reproductive Health Best Practices Community of Practice

The Systematic Approaches for Scale-up of Family Planning/Reproductive Health Best Practices Community of Practice aims to bring together researchers, program implementers, policymakers and advocates to share experiences, tools and approaches to support the scale-up of family planning and reproductive health solutions. Established in 2012, the Community of Practice (CoP) is led by the Research for Scalable Solutions project at FHI 360 in partnership with the Implementing Best Practices Initiative. The CoP is hosted on the IBP Xchange platform and meets quarterly. The goal of this Cop is to increase the use of systematic approaches for sustainably scaling up best practices in family planning/reproductive health (FP/RH). Members share their experiences and practical tools through webinars, events and online discussions. The community provides a venue for country-, regional- and global-level exchanges to facilitate learning about how best practices can benefit more people and foster policy and program development.
